My Two Turkeys

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. This last few weeks have been crazy! Friday night I went out with a friend, Saturday I went to the Renaissance with Annette and enjoyed a few comedy acts and checking out the crafters. Sunday I stopped in Faribault at mom & dad's farm and picked up some great fresh veggies (thanks!) and went shopping for the final school clothes for the kids. Monday the kids and I went to the State Fair with my friend Angela and yesterday I worked until 8:30.

There was so much to see at the Fair! The kids don't have day care all this week so I decided to take Monday and today off to spend some time with them before they go back to school. The kids had their open house at school today so we brought in all their supplies, met their teachers and found their classrooms. I'm happy with the teachers they each have this year. Here's a pic from the State Fair. . .

Crazy Squirrel Guy

We have this crazy squirrel that loves to come up to the back patio door. He's digging for something in my mat, but I haven't figured out yet what's so yummy! He's done it numerous times and he looks right at the kids and I and then runs away!

It was a beautiful weekend -- Saturday we went shopping for school clothes. Sunday I got some yard work done and brought it a bunch more boxes to be put away from the move. Yesterday I took the day off to golf in the Burnsville Lions Club golf tournament. My teammates, Matty, T-Bone and Dallas, and I had a good time. We won a gift certificate for the golf course and I won a door price for Ciatti's . . . mmm . . . I took the kids there for dinner since it's one of my favorite places to eat!

Spidey

This is a spider web that I found outside this last Saturday. The spider in the middle was huge -- it's belly was about the size of my pinky nail. I think it's so gross, but the spider web was cool!

We spent Saturday night babysitting my friends' grandson. Dolan is about 5 months old and he's a doll!

Flip-Flops

Flip Flops

I made these flip-flops when I was up north at my friends Annette's cabin up on Stuart Lake near Brandon, MN. We had a great weekend (not this last weekend, but the weekend before). We tubed, floated, played water badmitton, read, ate and played twenty questions with her sister and brother-in-law. Annette's two nieces were also there. These flip-flops worked up quickly with fun fur and they match my swimsuit! They're fun to wear and were the envy of all the girls!

Tubing

Here's Annette's niece, Zoe and I tubing. We had a blast!

I posted a pic of the new house on 8/3/05 -- I had to add the entry out of order. Check it out!

P.S. I noticed that the date is wrong on my camera . . . will have to fix that one!

Nathan & Grandpa's Pumpkin Patch

Nathan & Grandpa's pumpkin

This pic was taken a few weeks ago so I'm sure the pumpkin is bigger by now. Beautiful day in MN today . . . heat is on a reprieve until Sunday.

It's Ours!!!!!

Since the first mortgage payment was sent in, I thought I'd post a picture of the new house! Here are the kids and I in front of our new abode! We love it, but there are still boxes to unpack! Argh!
