Minnesota Twins Medallions

I started collecting the M!nnesota Tw!ns Medallions last week. I received all of them but when I went yesterday at 1:30 p.m. to get Mauer's, they were sold out. I figured I could handle missing one, so I stopped this morning to get Mays' after I dropped the kids off at school at 9:00 a.m. and they were sold out already!!!! I surrender. This is ridiculous if you have to go to the store as soon as the paper is delivered to get the medallion. (The coupon for the medallion is in the StarTr!b.) So, E-bay, here I come -- I'm going to sell the first weeks' worth and see if I can "cover my losses."

In Between Jobs

Today was my last day off before I start my job at Quello Clinic. I have orientation tomorrow in Bloomington.

I spent the day running errands and putsing on my computer. I signed up for the do no call list. It's the list you can put your phone number on so that solicitors don't call you anymore. I am so sick of my phone ringing and having it be people asking me if I need a new roof, new siding or to refinance my mortgage. Since I have none of those, I rarely answer my land line when I'm home. Any of you interested in signing up for this, you can do it on-line at http://www.donotcall.gov. It takes about a day to be effective.

I also had lunch with Morgan and two of her friends today -- Kiona and Karli. I had lunch with Nathan and his friends J.D. and Trevor last Tuesday.

Last Wednesday I went to a store called Sea of Beads in Lakeville. They offer free classes for beginner jewelry makers. I made two pairs of earrings and one bracelet. All I had to do was buy the materials for it -- under $30 for my items. This is a set of earrings and matching bracelet that I made.

Jewelry

The other set of earrings are a set of five swarovski crystals in a rainbow theme.

Saturday, May 07, 2005

O.k. I know it's been a while since I updated my blog, but a lot's been going on. I quit Ebenezer and most of my Bumper's shifts (all but every-other Sunday day) and got a full-time job as an LPN at Quello Clinic. I start on Tuesday, May 10. No weekends, no holidays and other than every Tuesday until 7:30, no nights!

I've been looking at houses -- it's time for me to buy! I haven't yet found the perfect one . . .

I made the mistake of celebrating my last Friday at Bumper's a little too much last night. Have been running on slo-mo all day but did manage to finish a FNS purse for my friend Tammy. She's going to give it to her mom for Mother's Day.

John is coming over for dinner and to watch the NASCAR race, so I'm off to make roasted chicken, baked asparagus and cheesy hashbrowns. He's bringing cheesecake for dessert! YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will update more soon, but wanted to let you all know that no, I haven't dropped off the face of the earth!
